No Security: The Red Tower

From the line of system less horror which originally appeared in the No Security Kick starter, Hebanon games brings another masterpiece “The Red Tower”. This will sure hit the gaming charts and will give those gaming enthusiast a must have.

Story-line:

It was 1931 even the Windy City of Chicago was a victim of the effects of the Dust Bowl. Illegal trades like gambling, racketeering and more are also hit by depression. When Capone’s reign has preceded and along with his downfall comes the fall of Chicago’s corrupt establishments. His arrest because of tax evasion got the mob jumbled and messed up. Then after the exposure of his corruption. It allowed great opportunities for the socialist to orchestrate a revolution made by the oppressed. As the power vacuum invites a lot of guests, two criminals structured themselves into power.

As the mobsters felt the loss of Capone who was elusive against the eyes of the government. The government must find a way to stop the communist. Regardless of the two faction’s motives, they find themselves hindered by unknown forces. Then something happened a socialist reporter was not sighted after an undercover assignment. The government must hold a huge factory which, shouldn’t exist.

Characters:

In game characters will more likely to be appearing from one of the four factions. This means that they need to face each other that will result into a great adventure.  The players will discover a horror that lurks within the meat factory. The question is how the players will deal with their discovery. How will they set aside their ideologies as well for them to defeat the danger that’s been growing for decades?

Hints:

The Red Tower offers a glimpse of a good ending. But, to achieve it one of the players must sac rife to stop the horror that lurks within the meatpacking district.

What to say?

The adventure within The Red Tower is wonderfully laid out. In conclusion, The Red Tower is one of the most memorable horror game to be played. If you would like to give this game an A+ rating, you might as well check out the other adventures from the No Security anthology.

Storyline:

Bryson Springs is a town located at the easternmost border of South California. The players enter the story and direct into a scene of a small town along the railroad. The accessibility because of the major roadways is the only reason why people stay within the community. Long before, there was Bryson Spring Ranch a successful ranch that supplemented the living of a few residents.

There were bountiful days that flourish when the ranch was still prospering. But suddenly the stability of the ranch was doubted and there are parts of the country that were affected. The crops in the entire field withered. The crops for the whole year disappeared. All was left was people that were praying for a miracle rain to fall.

The plagued that swept hope within the people of Dust Bowl. People were struggling to look for work, as a result, a great depression begins. In the midst of this great depression, Bryson Spring ranch suffered hardships and people were dying in a horrific, unexplainable and mind-boggling ways.

The players are taken into the deep nightmare during the hard times of Bryson Springs. The players are cast out and must stay together and face the entities that lurk in the desert night. The dark things hunted and the oppressed and offers them to their impious dark god.

Monsters:

Let’s talk about the marionettes or “Kuileixi Shi”, the players will have a close range sight of them. The appearance of them seems like a man formed artist’s perspective doll, the limbs expertly carved. The marionettes appear with a purpose and to manifest a horror. They’re uncanny doppelgangers mimicking human movements under the power of a supreme and complex being which is the Fisher of Men.

Marionettes are not that fast, not so much running as they float towards. In the game, the characters should use firearms because they’re effective while chopping instruments is far better. But, fire is still the best because marionettes still possess the characteristics of fine wood.

Character Selection:

Character selection in the game is still up to the players and the game master. But there are some characters that you can use in the game just within one scenario that is better than others.

Tips and Hints:

Kelly’s evil scroll doesn’t contain any spell to eliminate the Fisher of Men. Furthermore destroying the scroll won’t do any help either. But there’s a game turner if the characters obtain the translation of the scroll, they can summon a marionette to kill Kelly. If it is done successfully the plague will come into an end. Kelly will be devoured by his dark god the Fisher of Men. Another way of saving the Bryson Springs is to overcome Kelly’s family and kill Pa. His body must be completely destroyed. But until the solutions are discovered, the dark silhouettes will continue their hunt. They will be feeding the ravenous Fisher of Men.
